EAP Cogsci Edition - 2015
The 2015 Mind&Brain Prize is awarded to:
Nicholas Humphrey, Darwin College, Cambridge.
For his fundamental studies of the visual system, for his ground-breaking research on social intelligence, and for his theoretical and empirical investigations of subjective experience, which have provided a new approach to understanding the nature and function of consciousness, thereby forging links between psychology, philosophy and evolutionary biology.
Frédérique de Vignemont, Institut Jean-Nicod, Paris.
For her studies on the sense of body awareness from a multidisciplinary perspective, such as the sense of bodily ownership, the spatial content of bodily sensations, and the extent to which body representations can be shared between self and others.
