For his fundamental work on the nature of consciousness, and for his contribution to a philosophy of mind based on empirical research and grounded in the principles of evolutionary biology.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Henrike Moll, Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig (DE)
 
 
For her creativity and originality in designing experimental paradigms aimed at assessing social cognition abilities in early infancy, and in
convincingly combining experimental research with large-scale theoretical reflection.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The award ceremony will be held in Turin on October 12, 2011 at 3.15 p.m.
